Suco de grama e outras comidinhas

Como eu odiasse brincar de Barbie e minha irmã só tivesse uma irmã, ela abria uma exceção: sempre que a gente podia ficar no pátio do prédio, nos entretíamos brincando "de comidinha". Era uma diversão pouco ecológica, é verdade. Resumia-se a apanhar um punhado de matos de diferentes cores, quase sempre bem debaixo da placa de "É proibido pisar na grama", picá-lo e dividí-lo entre as várias panelinhas e potinhos de danoninho. Com algumas folhas, fazíamos suco acrescentando água; com outras, misturávamos barro e, depois de algumas horas de exposição a um sol esturricante, tínhamos bolos decorados com pedrinhas.

Dias atrás, estava eu fuçando na internet quando dei de cara com o catálogo de um spa holístico. Imagine a minha surpresa ao descobrir, vinte anos depois das brincadeiras de comidinha, que muita gente acredita que cair numa poça de lama pode deixar a pele mais macia. Melhor: tem mulher que chega a desembolsar até um salário mínimo para que alguém esfregue seu rosto com barro mole, "em movimentos suaves e circulares".

A julgar pela grande oferta de produtos similares em spas, há quem se deleite em ficar deitado de bruços, com pedras fumengantes colocadas em locais estratégicos das costas. Em muitos desses lugares, é possível tomar suco de clorofila por ínfimos R$ 15.

É um mundo estranho esse em que adultos bebem suco de grama e crianças brincam com celulares de verdade.

I met her. Not that anyone cares, but I met her and Carmen Kass (another model) at a restaurant in NY. My husband and I were having dinner and I excused myself to go outside and have a cigarette (I dont smoke anymore. yeah! 3 years nownot that anyone cares) where was I? oh, so there they were outside being all tall and shit. I tried to overhear their conversation, but couldnt. I noticed them going outside several times after that to smoke I guess while everone else was eating. hmm.
