Por que Franklin J. Schaffner é um visionário...
1968 está em toda parte. Há 40 anos um bando de riquinhos foi pro pau em Nanterre porque um riquinho alemão queria dormir com as moças no dormitório feminino da universidade local e foi quase expulso por dizer que proibir algo assim era coisa de nazista. O tal do efeito borboleta fez a palhaçada tomar conta da juventude, aí a estúpida esquerda mundial comprou a briga. Tudo perda de tempo. O que importa é que naquele ano o filme de Planet of the Ape estreava em 8 de fevereiro. O seminal (eita palavrinha da porra que críticos adoram) O Planeta dos Macacos ganhava a telona em Nova York.
Por que o filme é tão bom? Confira: havia viagens estelares, um planeta onde as mulheres andavam seminuas, porradaria, um republicano como mocinho, batalhas e perseguições com cavalos e algo mais importante. Macacos. Montes deles. Um civilização deles. E todos falam! Colocar características humanas em animais sempre foi e sempre será algo importante quando se quer fazer filmes espetaculares e Franklin J. Schaffner será para sempre lembrado como um grande sujeito na história do cinema.
